Molly Spence Sahebjami
Senior StrategistMolly Sahebjami is a senior strategist and counselor at Wild Hive with strong roots in writing and editing. Her expertise and interest leans toward food, sustainability, nutrition, public health and social purpose. Molly has more than 25 years of experience developing and implementing communications and marketing strategies for food-related companies, associations and agricultural boards, using insights to cultivate awareness, trust and loyalty among a variety of audiences.
Molly served as a communications director at Starbucks from 2018 to 2020, where in a newly created role, she led communications for the company’s wide variety of environmental and social impact programming. Prior to Starbucks, Molly was director of North American market development at the Almond Board of California, where she led the team from 2012 to 2018 that drove a 25% increase in domestic demand for almonds and protected their reputation on behalf of California’s almond growers. Molly’s team worked to increase awareness of almonds’ health benefits — seeing them through their transformation from a niche ingredient to a popular out-of- hand snack that consumers widely recognize as a nutritious choice. She led advertising and public relations in the U.S., Canada and Mexico for audiences including consumers, nutrition and environmental thought-leaders, health professionals, and food professionals and was responsible for goal-setting, planning, implementation, measurement, evaluation, optimization and regular reporting to industry leadership.
From 2008 to 2010, Molly served as vice president of health and wellness communications at Dairy Management Inc. Before going “client-side,” she spent a decade as team leader, consumer media expert, spokesperson and culinary expert at Porter Novelli. Molly began her career in food journalism and on baking and pastry teams in high-end restaurant kitchens in Chicago. She graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Northwestern University.
